FAQs
Q1: How strong is the air jack?
A1: The air jack is made with a special nylon fabric with a proprietary process to withstand extremely high pressure. In lab tests, the biggest model of the air jack is able to resist up to 4.2 tons and more of vertical compression pressure.
Q2: Can the air jack explode when punctured?
A2: NO! Even when punctured with a sharp knife, it will only slowly deflate and it will not burst like a balloon.
Q3: What if the air jack is over-inflated?
A3: When the pressure built-up in the air jack exceeds the normal level, the rubber funnel-shaped connector to the exhaust tailpipe will pop off while the anti-reflux valve will keep the air jack sealed. It is important not to fix the connector to the tailpipe by force so that damages to the air jack can be prevented.
Q4: Can the air jack explode if it's actually over-inflated?
A4: The answer is NO again. If the user fails to follow the safety instructions and fixes the rubber funnel-shaped connector to the exhaust tailpipe, the air jack may eventually over-inflate and cause a fracture to develop. When this occurs, the air inside will escape and cause the air jack to deflate fairly slowly, but there will be no danger of explosion or sudden dropping.
Q5: Will JPmate™ Air Jacks work for my vehicle?
A5: There are a few things to check:
- Exhaust Tailpipe - The current models work with single-pipe exhausts and cannot attach to rectangular or downward pipes. Future models with new add-on accessories will solve these limitations and are planned for release soon.
- Vehicle Weight - The air jack's maximum lifting capacity is determined in lab tests to find out its extreme limit. For regular usage, it is recommended that the vehicle's laden weight does not exceed 60% of the air jack's maximum lifting capacity for safe and extended usage of the product.
Q6: Which model of JPmate™ AirJack should I use for my vehicle?
A6: Please refer to Suitable Vehicles for listing of vehicles and the matching models of JPmate™ AirJacks.
Q7: What if I have twin-pipe exhaust for my car?
A7: The air jack will work only if one of the tailpipes is stuffed. Related accessories are available and are sold separately.
Q8: What is the product warranty?
A8: Every unit of JPmate™ Air Jack receives ONE YEAR of manufacturer warranty from the date of purchase. This warrants that, in the course of normal use, the product is free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year. This warranty does not cover any damages to the product that results from accident, abuse, misuse, natural or personal disaster, or any unauthorized disassembly, repair, or modification.
